James leads the way

James Beechinor led the way to a hat-trick of Bedford Rowing Club wins at Peterborough Summer Sprint Regatta on Sunday 12th August.

James, racing in Mens Senior Three Single Sculls over the 500 metre sprint course, raced a strong race to win convincingly over a field of 18 other scullers. Claire Newton and Elizabeth Banyard-Smith beat a field of 17 other crews to win Womens Novice Double Sculls by clear water, having dominated the qualifying rounds and shown their form by coming second in the same event on the Saturday.

In the last race of the day, Amelia Clow, racing in a composite crew with Sons of the Thames Rowing Club and Thames Rowing Club, won Womens Senior Three Quadruple Sculls

The next event organised by Bedford Rowing Club is the Autumn Small boats Head on Sunday 14th October.
