Press Release from Bedford Rowing Club 7th May 2007

Bedford Rowing Club's Tom Robb kicked off his regatta season with a win in Senior One Single Sculls at Evesham Regatta on Saturday 5th May. Racing over the 1000 metre course, Robb beat Mitchell of Wycliffe Sculling Centre by 2 lengths.

The Womens Novice Coxed four of stroke Liane Higgins, Katie Keen, Sara Orme, Jayne Smith and cox Lydia Swift, put in a very good performance to come through 3 qualifying rounds to be beaten by only 3/4 of a length by Staines Rowing Club in the final.

Bedford Rowing Club races next at Bedford Amateur Regatta on Saturday 12th May.
