Bedford Rowing Club Juniors Race at Top Indoor Event in the Country

One of the biggest junior indoor rowing events in the world  took place on Friday the 15th march – the 2013 National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships.

Taking place at the Lea Valley Athletics Centre in North London, the 2013 NJIRC is one of the biggest events ever.

Bedford Rowing Club juniors joined 2500 other young people torace over different times and distances. The BRC juniors attend several different school including St Andrews, Biddenham, Mark Rutherford and Sharnbrook.

These were the first BRC juniors to ever compete at this national event. The St Andrews girls were in the year 10 event and Charlie Waller finished 48 out of 169 girls. BRC also had boys in the year 9 & 10 event. Lilly Fleshman who also rows for BRC but was racing for Biddenham School finished an amazing 30th out of 178 in the year 9 event.
