BRC Event Dates 2010
The River Great Ouse in Bedford provides the only 2km stretch of rowable water in the entire county. On this, we run 3 Head Races and a Sprint Regatta each year, and also play a major role in running the Bedford Amateur Regatta in mid May.
Due to lack of marshalling space, our Head Races are run in multiple Divisions. This system provides the opportunity for competitors to race in several different boats and combinations throughout the day, and makes the events attractive the crews wishing to seat race in impartial conditions. As a result, the Heads are regularly oversubscribed, and consequently, crews wishing to race are encouraged to enter early.
